August 11, 2022 Fearless Minutes

Our speaker for the August 11th Fearless meeting was Donna Bartos from BLOOM365. The name “BLOOM365” stands for “Bring Love On Others More, 365 days a year.” BLOOM365 teaches relationship and boundary skills to those 11—24 years of age. BLOOM365 also does domestic/sexual abuse prevention and healing work with young people.

April 2022 Meeting Minutes

At our April 14th meeting, Public Defenders Katie Krejci and Meghan White returned to discuss Probation early termination guidelines  for those on probation for sex offenses in Maricopa County .  Following is a summary of what they discussed – the Maricopa County Probation Early Termination Guidelines are attached. Probation ET Guidelines
 
Those on less than lifetime probation must serve more than half their term to be eligible for early release.

Our speakers at the February 10 Fearless meeting were Public Defenders Katie Krejci and Meghan White. They are very knowledgeable about registration and sex offense cases. They spoke about changes in the registration laws (Modified Registration Requirements in 2021). Some of the changes: Registered citizens must re-register in person at the sheriff’s office once every year in the month of their birthday;

November 11, 2021 Minutes

We had a good turnout at our Thanksgiving dessert meeting, and we all shared what we are thankful for.
**There is no decision yet by Attorney General Garland about the proposed SORNA regulations, but we will let you know if we hear anything.
**Tennessee lawmakers are looking at the sex offender registry after receving dozens of lawsuits.

June 2019 FEARLESS Minutes

On Thursday, June 20, we were privileged to have Attorney’s Meghan White and Katie Krejci from the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office return to our Fearless group to wrap up their discussion on the terms of Probation and Parole.  They answered many of our questions and reviewed the conditions in order to be compliant on Probation or Parole.
